Retail Customer Service Lead

Roots is seeking an exuberant human to lead our Pop-Up events on and off the farm. This person will serve as our main Roots Ambassador in direct sales to our customers. We desire a creative soul who excels in the art of retail and customer service. As the direct connection to our farm, this person will have the opportunity to share the Roots story with our loyal customers.
Most events take place on Saturdays, with Friday preparation. Weekend availability is a must. We aim to do 20 events this year, but the position has additional opportunity. We anticipate 10-15 hrs/week, about 2 times a month. However, it is seasonally dependent.
Qualified applicants should possess the following:

Retail experience: both in operating a POS system and customer service

Interest in farming and flowers, small business and aesthetics

Excellent communication and social skills

Attentive to detail, ability to mentally hold many things at once, accurate and attentive to handling money and other checkout details

Excellent driving record and ability to safely operate a large vehicle

Flexibility for weekend work

Ability to work in all weather conditions; many of our events are outdoors

Be responsible, independent and self-sufficient
There is potential to pair this role with on-farm work or delivery driver work for additional hours. If interested, please state in cover letter.
Full-Time & Part-Time Flower Farmers
FT schedule:
April - October
5 days plus some weekends 8am-4:30pm
PT schedule:
June - September
Mon, Wed, Thurs
8am-4:30pm
Our energetic, fast-paced, and production-focused cut flower farm is seeking positive humans to join our 2023 team! Be part of our small, but mighty crew who grows tens of thousands of bouquets every year. We work hard and have a great time doing it!
All crew members are part of our wholesale bouquet production days in addition to helping with all farm tasks such as planting, weeding, harvesting, processing and cleaning. Harvest and bouquet production can be repetitive and involves standing for long periods, while maintaining speed and accuracy.
Full-time applicants must have minimum 2 years experience in production farming or production horticulture experience. Full-time candidates seeking a long-term position at the farm will be prioritized.

Available every Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, July - September, 8am-4:30pm

Physical and mental stamina to work in all weather conditions.

Ability to maintain a fast, efficient pace while ensuring the highest quality, especially during redundant tasks. Must have hustle!

Consistent attention to detail.

Team player, commitment to task completion.

Minimum 1 year experience farming or other relevant production work (for part-time positions).

Reliable transportation to and from work, with some flexibility on day-end timing.
